Recovery Partners operates with absolute discretion and never advertises or discloses its activities concerning its actual clients, potential clients or service providers. If you would like to have an idea what we can do, please consider the following high level project descriptions:
- Recovery Partners Principals have been active in engineering financial asset solutions for almost three decades. They have worked on bank and non-bank acquisition opportunities in North America, Europe, Central Europe; they have advised on and participated in the acquisition of a wide variety of financial asset portfolios; and they have managed or advised on several Sovereign debt and asset management situations working with country governments, multilateral agencies and private sector lenders.
- Since 2006 Recovery Partners has identified and valued over USD 3.0 Billion of off strategy financial assets. The originations included evaluations of loan purchase opportunities in North America, Europe and Asia.
- Recovery Partners was asked by a major international financial institution to review and assess a $500 million dollar distressed agricultural loan portfolio in Asia. We identified the source of problems and the key risk factors, determined appropriate solutions and risk mitigants and consistent with the client’s aims, and made recommendations fundamental to the resolution of the situation.
- Recovery Partners was asked by the key Shareholder of a failing investment fund to identify reasons for the poor performance. The Fund was a structured tax vehicle with a derivatives overlay. We rapidly assessed the situation; advised the Shareholder to sell out to the minority holders and successfully advised on the resulting transaction.
- Recovery Partners was asked by a large International bank to rescue a failed project in the area of Basel II compliance. We completed the original assignment on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction. Our engagement was subsequently extended two additional times in relation to further Basel II related work which included the development of Best Practice templates based on a peer group review.
- We were engaged by a leading developer of derivatives revaluation software to rescue a failing investment in a subsidiary. We quickly diagnosed the situation and advised the Board that the hopes of recovery were slim. We subsequently assisted in the mothballing of the Company and the securing of the Intellectual Property Rights that had been created.
- A 75 person Company had created a fault-tolerant virtual file server using very sophisticated "pooling" technology. The company had attempted to take the product to retail and were having a 99% goods-returned rate and support costs exceeding company revenues. The Board wanted to replace the Founder/technologist CEO and to rescue the company. We rewrote the business plan with the Board and selected investors, completed a valuation, reduced and restructured the development organisation and implemented professional quality control procedures. The company was financed and is successful to date with new permanent management.
